About Mark and Music Classes….

My 9 y/o did Summer Music Camp and was apprehensive the first day when she didn't see any kids she knew. However, she enjoyed the camp so much and made new friends of all ages. She even discovered a hidden drumming talent! We will return for sure.

Our kids loved summer music camp! In fact, they are still singing the songs almost 2 months later. We will definitely be back next summer. Thanks for a great experience.

Worship Camp was absolutley fantastic! Our teens practiced playing in a band for a week then WOWED all us parents for their end performance. My teens also walked away with a better understanding of what worship music really means. Mark and Lea Emerson have a gift and I'm so thankful they share it with our teens!

Our daughter participated in the Emerson Music Camp this summer. She had a wonderful time and raved about it to her Grandparents. She was able to spend time with several instruments, build and decorate her own water drum, socialize with other kids her age, and work toward a goal of performing in a concert at the end of the week. Mark and Lea are great both very knowledgeable, kind, and caring. Looking forward to camp in 2015.

Good Shepherd Preschool had the awesome opportunity to have “Mr. Mark” for our after school Music Enrichment. Mark Emerson has the great ability to meet the needs of children of all ages. His patience, guidance and teachings far surpassed our expectations and it was a class that many of our parents and their children enjoyed and looked forward to. He is professional and displayed great knowledge in age appropriate lessons. He made it fun to learn in every capacity. He followed all appropriate protocol when picking up and signing children into the class and went above and beyond to assist parents if they were running late, always with a smile on his face. His energy fills the room and the kids respond with great joy. Mark Emerson will be a blessing to your program and I am happy to have this chance to get to let him know just how truly special we think he is and how wonderful it was to have had him at our Preschool.

I highly recommend Mark and believe any child will benefit immensely from being his student in so many ways. Both my children had the great privilege to be part of Mark’s classes and for both of them it was the highlight of their week. Mark not only has an incredible musical talent and knowledge but it is his passion for music and for children that makes him an amazing teacher. He sparks the love for music in every child no matter their personality. He was able to draw my shy daughter in and get her to try new ways to express herself and at the same time he channeled my son’s energy into rhythm and music. It was such a joy to get to see the kids perform at the concerts Mark would put on for the parents. You could not only see an immense improvement of the musical skills they got taught in just a few weeks but I was also impressed by the freedom and love Mark and the students interacted with each other no matter how young some of them were (my son was just barely 3 years old then).

My kids love Mr. Mark! Mark has an incredible wealth of music experience and knowledge paired with a great passion for helping kids have fun learning. He has tremendous patience with kids, especially preschoolers - who often need an extra dose. Both of my kids (now 10 & 5) had the privilege of learning from Mark. They not only developed fundamental music skills but their confidence and social skills were bolstered as well. My kids both love music today and my 5 year old already keeps a beat rockin' out on the drums! Mark is awesome! Signing up for his class is well worth it.

Our son attended music classes with Mark for two years. Mark is a very gifted teacher who has the ability to really connect with children and have patience with them, while also teaching them music skills. During his time with Mark, our son learned how to keep rhythm and hear different musical instruments in various songs. He still remembers his music class with Mr. Mark and we are continually thankful for Mark's investment in our son's life.

My 3-year-old son loved Mark's preschool music classes! He looked forward to them every week. He is usually shy when it comes to performing, but Mark made the performances for the parents so much fun that I don't think my son even realized he was performing. I would highly recommend Mark's music classes to any parent who wants to instill in their children a life-long love and appreciation of music.
